Oh yeah, its not uncommon, especially in the Midwestern states, ... an accident or some type of traffic altercation that's not visible in that video, say a half mile ahead of all those cars piling up caused the chain reaction at the back end, no way to warn the speeding cars, ... its such short notice, ... and they are still going much too fast for conditions.
I've seen it dozens of times over the years, ... the south and eastern Midwest seems to be a favorable area, they get more mixed weather, like rain that turns into ice which is then covered up by snow or out west from sand storms.
It takes us long enough to stop on dry roads let alone on Ice.
