The nanocrystal and microblind technologies look very interesting.

They have limitations and are a much older technologies that are in large production but in the lab phase

Smart Glass

Microblinds don't absorb light and don't have any impact on temperature. They are also in the study phase. SPD is now a burgeoning industry.

Compare microblinds to Pilkington's Sundym. Pilkington is a huge autoglass supplier. You'll never see microblinds in autos. Mercedes has an SPD license to perfect their Magic Sky Control. Companies don't invest the time and money in the glass business on a whim.

Microblinds Here you see a piece from a lab developing this.

Here you see a product already in Mercedes SL and SLK and now in the S-Class, which is out this year.

Our licensees have already sold over 20MM in products. They've already established an industry and are building facilities around the world dedicated to SPD product production. You can see these here:

SPD Products by licensed companies

Smart glass will include a lot of companies vying for the same markets but the majority of Tier 1s are manufacturing SPD smartglass products.
