You are providing misinformation for prospective and current investors. REFR refused government funding on purpose so we could "own" the technology. The US government has been funding EC research but Sage had to sell the remainder of their company when the funding dried up. Governments fund research not production as REFR licensee do. We do the research and improvements, which is why our patent portfolio has grown to over 500 patents and patents pending. Those protect our investment out 20 years each time an new generation or application is developed. Half of our expenses go to this work. I welcome the discussion of smart glass and am glad I can help you be more informed. It benefits all whom read this thread and want to know more about Research Frontiers and SPD smartglass. ND
