I suspect it has something to do with your broker. Often brokers use traders on large orders and try to structure the purchase in a way that will not raise the price too quickly before getting filled. It shouldn't take that long for you to get filled. You should ask your broker what the hell is going on.

As far as waiting for sells to fill buys. I don't think that is the case. There is a different MM on the bid than the ask. So sellers are selling to one MM and buyers are buying from a different one. Besides, after buying up all those 500K blocks last week, these guys have plenty of shares to sell.

Let's just hope we get pleasantly surprised with a contract announcement or two over the next couple months.
