One of the problems with many attempts to analyze the economy is that demand and supply aren't really aggregate. People want and supply certain things, not undifferentiated lumps of consumption, production, investment etc. All the neat little (or sometimes very big and complex) closed loop AD/AS analyses are hopless oversimplifications.
