it was easy to miss the final phase-out of the inefficient lighting technology we’ve known for so long: the incandescent bulb.

They aren't phased out for me. I've got enough stashed away to last more than my lifetime. And just wait until the landfills are full of toxic mercury from all the busted curly cue CFL's that will get tossed away.

Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.

I like the Orwellian names the government comes up with, that are frequently describing the opposite of what's in the body of the legislation. The "Affordable Care Act" is just the latest bit of unintended humor.

If this administration truly wanted "Energy Independence and Security" they'd open up ANWR, off shore, and vast western BLM lands to drilling, along with approving Keystone and putting the clamps on an out of control, rogue EPA..
