Friends, making fun of Al Gore's book is obviously political as it comes, even if you say "don't get political..." Climate change and dumping on Al Gore really isn't funny except to deniers and their promoters. It is a continuation of the hyperbolic and rhetorical machine smears against Gore beginning in the 2000 election.

In the era of Amazon.com, most old bestsellers cost less than $1.00. What's so funny about it unless you are political or a technological luddite??

The vast majority of legitimate respected scientific bodies agree that Climate Change caused by a historically rapid rise in industrial age greenhouse gasses and thus Global Warming, is very real. I could see some jokes in this realm, and people are entitled to their opinions contrary to the scientific consensus, but the Al Gore humor and intent is 99.99% political.
