Unemployment in Jefferson City, Missouri, is an admirable 5.2 percent. The BLS data show that average prices paid by consumers for the mix of goods and services consumed in the area are about 19 percent below the national average.

Sperling’s data show that the average cost of living in Jefferson is 96 percent the national average. Median home cost is 83 percent the national average, while property taxes are below average.

A lesson in the accuracy of the CPI . If you consider the location of where the surveys are taken one could have minimal unemployment and no inflation or huge inflation pending on what cities are used for the survey.

State of CA has an unemployment rate as of Dec 20th of 8.2% State of Ca I believe has the largest county. If there are 146 counties that house half the population of the USA I wonder if the CPI surveys are taken in those specific counties?

The variables are very vast as surplus creates reduction of price. In theory we could have no inflation pending on where the surveys are taken but we will have wage inflation.

Inflation or non?
In my opinion there is inflation when local french bread has increased 30% in price

We all must serve the financial community. So we have competition for investors competition in corps and it looks like a very loose set of rules for FED surveys.

It also looks like we have had a decrease in the service industry which in my opinion could be caused by the non inflation business is experiencing.
Maybe inflation is going to be hidden in the minimum wage increase which has just be wiped out in the price of bread ?
