For all the SD fans, do you know who Fieldwood Energy is, or more specifically, who the Fieldwood CEO is & his history? Rather than fill in the specifics, go back in time, a short time, to whom SD acquired these GOM asserts from. At the time, SD purchase, from the un-named GOM Operator & if I recall @ a high price as noted on this MB, was for the high $ flow from this portfolio of high production rate wells plus the P&A liability.
IMO, the now completed scenario is a sort of "no place like home". When I saw this I just laughed. Maybe I should make a call & see if I can sell some old E&P prospects over the phone. On 2ND thought that sounds to much like going back to work & the necessity of driving into Houston, even if only a few days a week, is more than I can handle. |
