I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but if you're asking if the chart has to conform to a specific axis size relationship in both directions, then no it doesn't... it makes no difference since the time/price line is still drawn from those same two points described earlier... the key is the relationship between time and price, it has nothing to do with resizing the chart to fit anything... if you refit that same chart, then you'll see the line move accordingly, the proportional relationship on the chart between time and price in not relevant...
