To the simple minded, (2nd, 3rd, 4th string mind) the only thing observable to make them feel good was
"What we had was a period of warming coincident with rising CO2 levels in the atmosphere."
But what 1st string scientist found was . A period of warming that correlates with ~9.1, ~10.5 ~20 ~60 year oscillations of the Sun the Noon and the planets.
The phases are identified going back centuries using varius proxies.
