Just a thought on the widely used term “country risk” using the two countries mentioned, Nigeria and Argentina. I think it’s a mistake to throw these two countries into the same “country risk pot” without quantifying / qualifying the specific risks. I would argue that the actual risk level in Nigerian is quite low as the situation, as bad as it may be, is fairly constant and thus quantifiable whereas the situation in Argentina is in constant flux and thus virtually impossible to quantify.
