I think you are seriously missing the concept of a democracy! I am sorry, but you simply do not understand what the purpose and function of a democracy is. Sorry, but that is true. Go learn, no put down intended!! You really need to study it. We ALL need to study the concepts behind republics: "i.e. the RIGHT of the masses to govern themselves instead of kings, queens and tribal chiefs. Democracy was the big idea of human beings since they discovered fire. Nothing as ever been invented to replace it dmeocracy. But it does require and educated populace: Thomas Jefferson.
