points to consider:
1) quantum, wdc, maxtor, etc. are all reporting record numbers of drives ships. this implies that a record number of boxes are being shipped
2) compaq, dell, ibm, etc. in IDC report today report that a record number of boxes are being shipped
3) quantum and wdc's problem is that the average price they are getting for drives have been falling due to oversupply from Asian producers
4) average price IOM is getting for zip and jaz has seen no degredation sequentially
5) IOM is now shipping zip for laptop; laptops now account for nearly 15% of box sales
6) HMTT reports that they are making all the jaz platters they can possibly make for IOM
7) DittoMax is seeing good acceptance into the market

it appears that demand for IOM products are strong in the channels and there is little competitive pressure this quarter. the time to panic was at $32, not $27 or $28 or $26 or etc. just an opinion folks
