They're letting go 1,400 employees total. That's major capacity.

The facility is only 2 years old. Reference:

Going through the info in various press releases and the 10K I have no direct indications regarding this facility's productivity.

Off the top of my head, I would guess:
1500 employees
=> ~100,000 sq. ft facility
Assuming rought 50 drives/year/sq ft.
=> 5 million drives/year
Estimated 130M units in 1997
=> Clonmel plant is roughly 4% of total unit demand. That's DEMAND not SUPPLY, total supply capacity is probably massively higher than 130M units this year.

These are just rough guesses, if anyone's got direct info please post it!
