just so you know, that "3/5 of a human" was a GOOD thing.
even the great! Frederick Douglass (black) thought so.
Douglass sided with Gerrit Smith and the Liberty party's position that the United States' founding documents were anti-slavery. In his most famous speech, ‘What To the Slave Is The Fourth of July?,’ he detailed what would come to be regarded as his signature positions, such as the view that slavery was unconstitutional and contrary to natural law, that blacks were self-evidently human and entitled to natural rights, and that slavery was contrary to the U.S. Constitution, American Republicanism, and Christian doctrine.
The "3/5 compromise" only applied to slaves and was added in an effort to help slave-states FREE their slaves so they can count as a whole for the purposes of state-power in the government.
There is NO mention of slavery anywhere in the Constitution. The founding fathers were mostly ashamed of having slavery heaped upon them and fought hard to stop it. The "3/5 compromise" was but one of many things they did to hold this country together . . having to compromise to keep the slave-heavy, money-rich, agri-business states in the Union.

Again, no one is here to judge your intelligence . . but before spewing your biased talking points, do a little research for yourself and form your own opinions. Don't just shout what you're told to.
