Ormonde Mining Receives Environmental Acceptances For Barruecopardo lse.co.uk Wed, 8th Jan 2014 10:22 LONDON (Alliance News) - Ormonde Mining PLC Wednesday said it has received key acceptances in the development of its Barruecopardo Tungsten Project in Salamanca, Spain. The tungsten mining exploration and development company said it has received formal written notification from the Regional Environmental Department in Castilla y Leon of a positive outcome in the Report on the Nature Network, which is necessary to allow the site's Environmental Impact Declaration. The Environmental Impact Declaration is a key document in the environmental permitting of the project, without which a mining concession cannot be granted by Spain's director general for Energy and Mines. Ormonde Mining said the approval notification states that the planned development of Barruecopardo will not adversely affect areas of wildlife in proximity to the operation, as long as the company complies with the conditions presented in its Environmental Impact Study and Restoration Plan. The Barruecopardo site is being developed by Ormonde's 100% owned subsidiary Saloro SLU. Ormonde Mining shares were up 11% to 5.40 pence, putting it in the top ten AIM movers Wednesday.
