Debra:

Here is where FTEL, et. al., have a major leg up. Last figures
I saw (which was about 3 hours ago) indicated only 25% of U.S.
households currently own PC's. On the other hand, virtually all
have POP's, even those in which the groceries are bought with food
stamps.
Here is where FTEL seems to be on the right track. By providing
an internet telephony service bypassing the PC, they automatically
broaden their potential market by nearly 400%.
Plus, by directing their initial focus at business users with an
ever-present eye on the bottom line, they are taking aim at the
one segment of the market which is most likely to opt quickly for
a service which meets or exceeds their existing telephony needs at
a fraction of the cost.
BTW, in the course of this "stair-stepping" upward movement, FTEL
is starting to develop a defineable trading channel. I am inclined
to suspect the next upside pop will carry us well over 3.00

Regards, Art
