Good Lord. Sometimes I marvel at koan's brilliance. Koan is the most intelligent liberal on SI. None of the others can hold a candle to him. He makes all the rest look like illiterate apes. Koan can spell existentialism, damn it! He knows it's The Key. It's all about compassion. Something only liberals have. Everyone should be liberal. Cause all the scientists are compassionate liberals. They know global warming is real and we're all gonna die without a carbon tax cause the arctic ice is almost all melted. And they know all about Plato and stuff too.
