Thanks for the heads up on the SELF HEATING CONTAINERS article in Jan. issue of Popular Mechanics. I had just received the magazine here at home (subscription) yesterday .. but had not looked at it yet. For magazine distribution.. I am in Ohio. The article is well positioned on the "Tech Update" page ... just below an article on Power-By-Wire Flight Control with a photo of a NASA F-18 jet fighter.

This article is verrrry well located to get one's attention who is looking for next generation technology ! ... even just flipping through the magazine, the colorful sketch ought to get a reader's attention ... (but do Wall St. investors read Popular Mechanics?? .. perhaps this is just the beginning of the news release activity on this).

The article is on page 16 and is well done ... colorful artists rendering as to how the can works (cross sectional view) ... Describes what it will do ... what can go in it ... how it works ... how long it will stay warm .. how much temperature rise is ... can heat foods as well as beverages .. and CLOSES by stating L. L. Knickerbocker is the one doing the distribution ... and gives an estimate for the yearly U.S. market for self heating containers could be $15 billion ! !

So here is a press release which is well done and attributes the distribution to KNIC ... and includes the numbers for the estimated annual sales ... in print in a major national magazine !

With KNIC having an equity interest of approximately 31% in Ontro ... making $$ from that investment ... plus making $$ from marketing the product ... what does that mean to the bottom line?

Let's see:
($15 billion x 31% ownership / 17,731,737 knic shares) = $262 revenue per share of KNIC stock ... What's the estimated margin on this?? ... and the profit from the sales distribution?? on a per share basis? ...

What's the estimated sales for year 1, 2, ... 5, etc.?

So for you number cruncher company/stock analysts out there what would be the estimated contribution to the KNIC stock price if this level of sales were achieved?

Regards, Ben
