Unfortunately, the people who benefit LEAST from changing the tax code is Congress. If the tax code is simplified, particularly if exemptions and deductions are threatened with extinction, Congress will no longer be able to sell those exemptions and deductions to those high rollers who have the need to buy them.

Though every member of Congress and the Senate will continue to "talk" about the need for tax reform, they do it with a wink among themselves. They have no intention of closing down their largest source of money to fund their reelections.
