Thanks ManyMoose.....That's what I get for not having enough time to properly find the thread! Glad you posted it all. Read your thoughts, and YES, they are the same thing!! In your case, you are a good writer, and perhaps there is a repository that would like to have what you had done before you retired, and your remarks about what you have found several years later. Surely there must be something that you can do to at least let the future generations know how much you cared. Perhaps the School of Forestry Library would like to have your overview. In fact, are there any organizations of Forestry that would like to have your "white paper" on this...? I suspect there are several repositories that would be more than glad to have an overview of your work.... I'm spending as much time as I can now find to gather my information on various family lines. It is a huge job, but as you say, I don't want my family to toss everything out....baby and bathwater....so it must be organized in some sort of way. Who knows if it will be helpful to any future descendants that I/We might have...I suspect that it just might!
