A symbol of what?? Why was (symbolically) eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Jesus considered to be a wonderful thing?

Hmmmm....a symbol of eating human flesh and drinking human blood? Will that make you powerful or elite or special in some way?? It sounds really crude and ignorant to me but then I never did think human sacrifice was anything other than superstitious bullshit practiced by people who believed in supernatural magic as the explanation for most things.

What would a normal person such as a third grade child say if somebody said to them: 'Eat this and drink this. This is my flesh and my blood".

I bet a normal child would say: That is not nice. People don't eat human flesh or drink human blood. That is crude and vulgar. It is a vulgar symbol that displays a belief in primitive magic and a contempt for civilized humanity. Now please go away...
