No, the hot weather in Australia is just "weather". The cold weather in the US is just "weather". They're not "climate".

The temp rise in climate these past 30 years is around 1 degree C. You can't even detect that small a temperature difference except with a thermometer. The temperature changes by a *lot* more than that every day in the typical place in a desert region like the hot spots in Australia. If they have a problem with the tennis matches, schedule them in the morning, LOL. Melbourne's high may be 106F tomorrow but their low is 75F. Friday's low is 61:

By bringing this up as an argument you're stating that you don't understand the issues. We're arguing about very tiny changes in temperature that wouldn't even be known to exist except for huge amounts of data taken by thousands of temperature stations every few hours for dozens of years. Australia's contribution to the amount of global warming is close to zero, they're only about
