Taper and oil shale going hand in hand.
How the US is playing wayo with the rest of the world:
· Use easy money to fund quick oil bonanza.
· Lower deficit and create jobs
· Create fear on OPEC and Russia showing prospects of US as oil exporter
· Show the US can do attitude, In a couple of years can change the world picture on a major commodity
· Create a sense in the US masses that industry will return to the us on top of lower gas prices.
· Use it as a tool for macro-economic policy In the run-up to Bernanke’s statement…What really struck me, though, was the associated wave of speculation that “the beginning of the end of US quantitative easing” would bring down oil prices too. That struck me as an odd call – and still does
· http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/liamhalligan/10532883/Even-the-famous-taper-wont-lower-oil-prices.html
· Drains money from pre-salt and lower money flowing into Brazil, clipping the wings of the government ride the oil wave
