I plan to do all the tests you suggested, plus some long formats of each type of disk. Perhaps I'll test the Nomai disks both before and after doing long formats. I already know the drives can format Zip disks.

As for risking my Zip drives, I'm sure if I damage them you'll all take up a collection for me. Won't you? ;-)
