I let my broker talk me out of my better judgement: to hold the s&p overnight and take the 1/2 trip to give him the margin check. I guess I got lazy ! Now I'm short again @ 966.80. I don't like chasing the market, but unless the foreign markets have a great rebound (which they do all the time), I expect this s&p to make me money. I think the market has the potential to go down a lot and I'll be disappointed if I miss it since I feel the odds are so much in my favor.

HK is down about 5% and S. Korea is having very big currency problems. The very fabric of their economy is falling apart. I'm not sure why Wall Street hasn't accepted this fully yet. I thought it might take two days for the US markets to react. I don't consider today a reaction. We should have ended at least 10 pts down on the s&p.

Maybe the "fun" will be tomorrow. I will be stunned if the foreign markets end the day near these current prices and the s&p doesn't open at least 10 pts lower.

Of course, the asian markets are extremely volotile, so they might be up in the next hour or two ! But I don't think so. S. Korea's currency breakdown is going to give fund managers a chill, especially when they see the bid & ask prices so low at the open . . . well, just my guess anyway. Who knows what will happen.

Again, I'm now short 1 s&p @ 966.80. I shorted around 10:25PM.

I expect to be up by about 6:00 AM to see how things look.
