Hi Tim,
We took a drive out to Stead to get a feel for the new plant while up there for the shareholders meeting. I couldn't believe the growth in the area in the last few years. The first thing you see is the JC Penny warehouse which is so huge I couldn't even gauge it. There were numerous other warehouses and factories spread out comfortably throughout the area. They all have railroad spurs to them and there were 3 Union Pacific locomotives dropping off cars and picking them up. It appears from the number of rail cars we saw that it's a very active railroad. There's also a switching yard in nearby Sparks, Nevada on the mainline from Salt Lake City to Sacramento & San Francisco via Reno, Nevada. The new building has a rail line going by maybe 500 feet away with plenty of space to build a siding directly to the plant. A good portion of the building is occupied by a distributor called Component Parts. John says he won't need the entire floor space for awhile and the rent from Component Parts will significantly reduce Itronics' overhead costs. John was over in the Paso Robles, California area closing a deal to fertigate a golf course. As always John was talking with grape growers and the like in his tireless efforts to market the company. When we go back for Christmas I hope to see the inside of the new plant. I wouldn't be surprised if now that the deal is signed they don't post some photos on the their web page itronics.com
