What's magic? Your unthinking belief that things just happen for no reason. And you betray your ignorance in talking about "emergent life taking over 4bil years to come about." It life took 4 B years to emerge, the first single celled life forms would only now be emerging. Science says the earliest known life appeared on earth very soon after the earth's crust was stable enough to support it. Obviously things do emerge .. You might as well claim that the laptop in front of you "emerged" spontaneously by wholly natural unplanned forces. Life is based on information encoding systems and such things don't just happen ... they're conceived in a mind, planned, and then written by an intelligent person or persons.
