Technical question for all of you:

If it's an @Home connection, is it always two-way cable? I've heard some cable connections are downstream only with an upstream modem connection.

Same question with Road Runner.

The one-way setup is just a totally hare-brained, idiotic idea. I think the speed of any cable connection would be nice, but the real attractions for me are (1) no need for an extra phone line (in fact, if I had a cable modem, I might give up all my landline phones and stick with my wonderful PCS phone!); and (2) constant connection that lets me put up my own little web server and check stocks/news automatically.

I'm long ATHM, but I'd also like to know which companies offer the two-way cable setup so I can know which one(s) to root for in arriving first in Los Angeles.

Thanks.
