No! My point was always that societies were brutal without democracy. That is what a society is without Habeas corpus. That has always been my main point. It was a primary concern to everyone all through history before our democracy. Why they addressed it straight out.

That is what you don't get. Maybe you lack empathy and have no idea what basic common decency is about?
