You'd have to be living in a deep empty well in the desert not to notice the rising magnificent force & power of music,art & sports in the world let alone science these aging nimrods only complain about. Religionists love to draw attention to themselves, without realizing the world does not revolve around priests & mullahs any longer, or the self styled evangelical moralists that live in the same ivory towered orthodoxy as their mullah brethren.
Both factions are scared to death of the secularizing world, survival instincts kicking in and well they should, but building hospitals, feeding the hungry, helping the poor, am all for it, they are free to go for it, in fact commanded to do so. Seems a weak proposition to have to be commanded by the deity or his prophet in order to have compassion, but thats the gist of it. |
