The gravitational data is the masses of the planets [I clicked a link and copy here back a posts]. It's not velocity and spin rates. It's a matter of instantaneous force balancing. When upward force exceeds downward force = BOOM! [with the number of apostrophes determined by the size of the volcano and type, Auckland lava being minor bangs, Taupo's pumice being stupendously hugely vast].

We can't calculate when the eruptions will happen because we don't know how close to converting to gas the top part of the column of liquid phase is. I guess the eruption sequence would start at the top of the column where water is at boiling point, rather than deeper down where temperatures are higher but pressures are too.

We can know that when sun, moon, groundwater, air pressure and snow cover are all just right, it's a good idea to stand clear if the reload time for a volcano has been completed. If there is also a planetary orbital conjunction of force, then it's bonus warning. Throw in an earthquake as New Zealand had far and wide yesterday, and it could be the big one.
