I agree with most of what you said. Dale was well respected but hardly infalible. He certainly seemed to push the envelope of impropriety and also seemed hell bent on getting kicked off SI. I made the comment before that once your out of the habit of doing things one way you learn to skirt the old and try the new. That 30 day ban provided him that window. Perhaps his new outlet was more to his liking anyway and decided that banishment was no longer a threat to what and how he wants to express himself and SI may have even been in fact, a distraction. Sorry to see him go, but it seemed most of his comments lately were about SI (well that and MHR), well, there are alot of unhappy souls you can banter with.

If Dale is right, someone with a big following leaving will be quite a blow

If Dale is wrong and SI is building, no one will remember him a year from now

If Dale was right SI, won't be around much longer with or without him. So SI cutting out an unpleasant element probably will not affect the SI trajectory.

The thread has been picked up, Dale wont be able to resist having his word spread albeit with less and less participation, SI can move on with whatever plan they have and, like when the dinosaurs died, those mammals lurking in the brush, feeling unworthy or afraid to confront adversity, may take a turn in greatness.

I wish Dale the best, perhaps he has gone to a better place.................................for him.
