Tim, I think we have to agree that pumping a larger and larger amount of a greenhouse gas into the atmosphere is going to change things.

It's not like we are going to see any less CO2 pumped out any time soon.

The economies of China, India, Brazil and every other up and coming 3rd world nation isn't going to sacrifice their ever growing economy and population to the warnings of some scientists somewhere. It's the jobs and growth that they can actually see vs. the vague warnings of some scientists in their ivory towers.

The oceans are becoming warmer and more acidic. We can see it in ocean temperatures, especially at depth, and we can see it in the destruction of reef systems all over the world. It's not sunspots that have made the Arctic suddenly open to shipping and drilling for oil. I have a company that's drilling in Greenland now. They couldn't have done that drilling 10 years ago because of all the ice they would have had to go through.
