To All: Midpoint buying will stop a stock from going down or stop a stock from going up. Totally different scenarios,but same type of holding action. If one is going down,mid-point buying will hold it and if one is going up, mid-point will kill it.Remove it and there is nothing to stop it on a downward trend or stop it on an upward trend.Clear as "mud".
