It didn't take you long for you to admit defeat and start slinging the same old kiddy cart full of manure! Yes, the evasion of the discussion in favor of slinging infantile turd balls is still an admission of defeat by you--as it always was!
Calling me names does not change the fact that morality is relative and that any particular 'good' to you may be evil to someone from a different religion, culture, or family, or boat. The problem with Christians (and other followers of religious ideologies) is that you have nothing to ground your morality in. All you can do is comb through the dregs of the most primitive ideas of ignorant, pre-scientific tribesmen...and hope to cherry pick or "interpret" something in a way that does not offend rational moral society in too egregious a fashion.
You MUST succeed in that attempt because moral humanity is all about self interest--which means we use reason to guide us as to how best to live as individuals and within social groups. AND WE DON'T BROOK things like human sacrifice, rape, genocide, incest, or any of the other terrible things glorified and boasted of in the bible.
Every event in the world is judged differently by different people. You don't like it but you can't change it. And any parts of the bible that rational people permit in their culture are parts that must coincide with our self interest as a society. Otherwise, we won't permit it. And you can take that to the bank! You don't like that either--but our country is secular and governed by secular morality. Religion is a PRIVATE matter! |
