Well big McMansions trend continues due to artificially low interest rates, all the gains to the top 5-10% with everyone still trying to keep up with the Jones's as if nothing happened. I also find that stunning as I am sure do all the perma bears still around. Was a great thing coming out of the financial collapse we needed spending and consumption desperately but now they have created yet another monster.. IMHO right after the 2012 election fed should have started tightening..

I think the McMansion trend is reflective of the American culture.........where bigger is better. Its as simple as that.
