NO, deficits like the ones that Reagan put up weren't common and accepted.

You can't TRIPLE a debt that took 200 years to put up in 8 years and say it was part of something that was "common and accepted".

That's why Ross Perot turned up. If that guy hadn't been screwy he probably would have been elected president in 1992.
