I am not poor. I make over 6 figures every year. I don't need money or health insurance or anything else. I have a great life. And I pay a lot of taxes.

I don't think the rich do pay their fair share. We know they are paying the lowest amount in about 100 years. And our schools are suffering which will also cause our democracy to suffer. They would like to pay nothing and many pay nothing.

Society has the right to decide how much everyone should pay to make for an optimum society. Half our population lives near the poverty level and 43% of Black kids under 5 live in poverty.

You don't want to help those little kids?

Now I know you adore the rich and idolize them, and like helping them dominate the rest of us. And they thank you and they think you are foolish for voting against your needs. Unless you are rich?

Will higher taxes hurt the rich more than it will help the poor? No. So we liberals will work to gain power to help the poor. We know you will oppose us.

That is how democracy works. I am glad I am me and not you though. Like Ten, and others here, you seem to lack empathy.

A life without empathy is a wasted life. I am sad for people who cannot feel other peoples pain and lack compassion.
