James, re:<AMD leader of flash memory> One problem with the new Intel "2-bits/cell" approach is that they have very slow write access. This is a problem with digital camera's where you'd like to be able to shoot quickly and not wait 5 seconds for the flash to be filled from the last picture. While making the largest memory chips less expensive, most applications of flash do not require massive amounts of memory, or require memory which is both large AND fast. Petz
