And last beef for the day (anti LSI snippet to follow):

Been swamped by a deluge of CABLE MODEM announcements. LSI should get some part of this. Darn why not a big part of this. This mangy teddy thinks LSI ought to compete. So why instead have we heard ADI. MOT. 3COM. and nary a mention of the few, the proud, the LSI? Why? Why? Why? Perhaps the lack of analog expertise. Perhaps the dearth of brilliant foresight. The absence of non-blunder. Cable modems will be HUGE. Why does MSFT pump billions into Cable companies? Because they know that unlike the blissfully idiotic sloth of the local bumbling Bells who will take an eternity to make DSL commonplace the cable companies may be whipped into shape. Of course DSL uses the existing infrastructure so cable's advantage of using their existing infrastructure is a wash. But still all I hear is Ameritech. And lots of ISDN (passe - and so what of ASND - buttoned suits and all at Fall Internet World - makes me want to dump now) ... mmmmm... So where fore art thou LSI? 'Tis panache est passe. Pourquoi? .... aarrrrrggghhh...
