Smart glass is to glass structures what pasteurization is to milk:
Could you be more specific? What is it that pasteurization does to milk? How is it done? Is it patented? Is it an action involving already existing materials and methods and are any of those "steps" patented?

If so then by whom. Is there one company selling on the stock market in any part of the world that would hold all the patents to "pasteurization?" Perhaps Louis Pasteur's family? Is it the same result as sterilization of milk, which every mother in the last century had to learn to do in order not to kill our infants when they left the breast.
