I think thats very much part of the reason, certainly mine is one huge valid reason, whats hate got to do with anything, its about common sense & beuty, which together are good enough for most things . There are many many many symbols that are used as i said in Jewish Temples, all nature derived its about the beauty of creation, not some power trip that you paint on shields, or plaster on hills . Far too hollywood , to maudlin, sad, when wheres the joy?
