Smart glass is not new technology
No, in fact it goes well back into the last century. However our nanoparticle is patented to have particular properities that the large glass manufacturers have been searching for in order to develop the SPD-smart products. It is the process involved in the suspension of the particle, its light absorbing properties, dispersion etc. that have taken over a century to develop.

Here's a brief history. I would recommend that you contact Bob Saxe at Research Frontiers for the more information. He is the principal scientist that developed SPD to make it viable in film, displays, etc.

They are in Woodbury, NY and really bring out the red carpet for visitors. In fact my first visit, the Investor Relations person drove me to put flowers on my father's grave, which is about a 2 minute drive from their offices.

Amazing people!
