Biggest loser for the sub-$500 PC and $199 XC will be INTC as Intel would have to be satisfied with $20- gross profit per CPU than its current $150+ profit.

Intel is apparently satisfied enough to announce that set-top boxes retailing for under $250 will sport Pentium II as early as next year. The biggest loser will be AMD shareholders when that happens. Nobody is claiming that the AMD chips that do make it off the line intact are bad; they simply aren't good, and I believe that distinction is an important one.
