Well at least we have had some precip since October here in Washington state.

SEATAC has recorded about 9.5 inches since October 1st. The average precip amount is a little over 20 inches as of just yesterday. So we are a about 50% below the long term average.. Not worrying too much, we still have until about the middle of April to make up the deficit.

Thankfully we are not suffering for lack of water like California is.

That high pressure ridge has been very stubborn and persistent the last couple months in the NE Pacific. I can't recall a similar event in my lifetime.
