Sun Offers Tool That Provides Its Java nytimes.com

As old Colonel Klink would say, "verrrrry interesting". Sun's Java VM embedded in an ActiveX control, keeping your browser in sync with the current version. As decided by the standard bearer, not the embracer and extender/demolisher. As the article points out, irony abounds here. We'll see about this one, I always wondered how Java could ever move forward with all the old browsers with embedded out-of-date JVM's around, and why it wasn't external to the browser in the first place.

Cheers, Dan.

P.S. No comment on Columbo, I got to review the evidence. This OVIS/RMIL thing still sounds fishy to me though, 25k posts here in 2 months?
