Sheer momentum play it was,
CAML if you remember the news hit and we had it before it hit the dow and yhoo, and we saw MMs lining up ,,, as Island was humming with day traders and soes.
Same with Lockc, on the White House announcement our radar went off, some got in at 5.8 that morning and I hit it at 3/4 as we were approaching 5 news came out from a MM in FLorida to short it as LOCKC was about to get dellisted under SEC penny stock regulations also we used the logic, why pay $99.99 when Chinese prisoners will do it for $9.99, rode it down to 2 3/4 and then another news hit that they had the capital to avoid the sec so up again etc.
These were simple momentum plays....
We have people in the channel who are pros, ex pros and schmucks like me trying to make a buck and have a fun,,,, some 300 people from all over the US and some from Europe join this room every morning...
They got level II, III and bloomberg, and all kinds of day trade software that they pay thousands......I only have my DLJ Direct level I.
