After a week going past without my presence, I thought I owed this group an explanation for my absence, particularly since I have been such an active participant on this board since John Pitera invited me back to post on SI.
Last week the most active participant on SI in 2013 was banned after 17-years of membership. In my few dealings with this person, they had been civil and cordial. Others who interacted with this person on the political boards have other opinions, and that's to be expected when those arenas are engaged with passionate folks.
One of the reasons I decided to come back to post on SI was due to the presence of new ownership. However, new information uncovered by some of the folks on the banned person's board seem to indicate things are not as I had hoped. The information, and the treatment of those who uncovered it, made me step back to evaluate my future participation, if any, on SI boards.
For now, I have decided to refrain from participating on SI. I made a similar decision on another popular investment site 5-years ago, and I there has not been a public post by me there since.
I will miss the interaction with those here. I enjoyed sharing links to sources that would often times provide actionable economic, T/A, or financial information of a useful nature. I also enjoyed once again sharing in a collaborative forum.
I do not know if I will post or participate on another site or platform. If I do, I'll let some of you who have been in touch with me know. Otherwise, I bid you good health, good fortune, and good trading.
